Listing importer policy

The MintedUK importer helps you move your own listings onto MintedUK without retyping them. You point it at your own shop on another marketplace, we prove the shop is yours, and we then fetch those pages on your instruction and turn them into MintedUK drafts that you review before anything goes live.

1. We only ever import your own shop

Before a single page is read, you place a one-time code in your profile bio on the other marketplace and we check it is there. Without that check, the import cannot start. This is how we know we are acting for the shop's owner and not copying somebody else's work.

2. You instruct us, in writing, each time

You accept a dated declaration before importing. In it you confirm:

• The shop I am importing from is my own, and the listings, photos and descriptions in it are mine or I have the rights to use them.
• I am asking MintedUK to fetch those pages on my behalf, as my agent, and I am responsible for checking my other marketplace's terms allow me to do this.
• I understand other marketplaces may restrict copying or automated access, and that using this tool could put my account there at risk. That risk is mine.
• I will not use this tool on anybody else's shop, and I understand doing so may be copyright infringement and a breach of the MintedUK Terms.
• I understand MintedUK keeps a record of this declaration, the shop link and when the import ran, so we can show an import was authorised.

We store the exact wording you accepted, the shop link and the time, so an import can always be traced back to your authorisation. If we change the wording, you will be asked to accept the new version before your next import.

3. What we copy

• The item's title, description, price, size, brand, colour and condition.
• Copies of the item photos, stored against your MintedUK account.
• The page link, so you can check what we read.

4. What we never copy or keep

• Buyer names, reviews, messages, followers or anyone else's profile details.
• Your other marketplace's password — we never ask for it.
• Email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses or social handles found in the text: these are removed before we save anything.

Imported text is automatically scrubbed of email addresses, phone numbers, postcodes, web links and social handles before it is saved. We never ask for, and never hold, your login details for another marketplace.

5. How long we keep it

Working copies of fetched pages are discarded as soon as an item has been mapped into a MintedUK draft, and in any case within 30 days. Your drafts and photos then live in your account like any other listing, and you can delete them at any time. Import records (which shop, when, how many items) are kept as part of our audit trail — see our privacy policy.

6. Other marketplaces' terms

Other marketplaces set their own rules about copying and automated access, and those rules change. MintedUK acts on your instruction as your agent; it is your responsibility to check that moving your own content is permitted by the site you are moving it from, and any risk to your account there is yours. We rate-limit our requests, identify ourselves honestly and stop immediately if a site asks us to.

7. Copyright

Your photos and descriptions remain yours. By importing you confirm you own them or have permission to use them. If you believe content has been imported that infringes your rights, email legal@minteduk.com and we will remove it and investigate the account responsible.

8. Your rights

You can withdraw from the importer at any time by simply not running it; a withdrawal does not affect drafts already created, which you can delete yourself. To access, correct or erase data held about you, see section 5 of our privacy policy or email privacy@minteduk.com.
